Traversing the breathtaking 12-mile Lamoille Canyon Scenic byway, the mountains offer a perfect choice for activities ranging from a leisurely drive to a week-long backpacking adventure. At the end of the road lies the awesome Ruby Crest Trailhead, the ultimate hiking adventure. The Ruby Mountains are reached via the Lamoille Canyon National Scenic Byway, 26 miles southeast of Elko on State Route 227.
